Public award ceremony: Bonner Informatik Gesellschaft Awards and Grace Hopper Awards will be presented on July 9

This semester, for the first time, the Institute of Computer Science and the Bonner Informatik Gesellschaft (BIG) will honor outstanding female students with the Grace Hopper Awards. The awards ceremony will be held on Friday, July 09 at 3:00 pm (sharp) along with the BIG awards ceremony. Starting at 3:00 pm (sharp), the Bonner Informatik Gesellschaft will award up to nine theses from the three previous years 2018, 2019 and 2020 with the BIG Prize for outstanding theses in the field of computer science at the University of Bonn. In addition to the traditional prizes for master's and bachelor's theses in computer science, theses from the study programs Cyber Security, Life Science Informatics and Media Informatics will also be considered for the first time.

At 4:00 pm (sharp), the BIG and the Institute for Computer Science for the first time honor very good student research projects from the last year by female students who were enrolled in one of the Bonn computer science or cyber security programs with the Grace Hopper Awards.
