DESCRIPTION:View all events				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n	\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n	Summer School on Cryptography				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n		\n			September 21\n\n		\n	\n	 – \n\n	September 25\n\n	\n				\n				\n				\n				\n									This summer school (21.-25.09.26) on Symmetric-Key Primitives and Practical Cryptography offers undergraduate and graduate students and researchers the opportunity to crypt a bit. It provides acquaintance and interaction in an intellectually stimulating and informal atmosphere in pleasant surroundings. The crypt@b-it is organized by UHH-Fachbereich Informatik-Security in Distributed Systems GI\, FG Krypto\, CASA (Cyber Security in the Age of Large-Scale Adversaries) at Ruhr-Universität Bochum and the b-it (Bonn-Aachen International Center for Information Technology). In cooperation with IACR. Description The one-week summer school crypt@b-it 2026 will explore some areas of cryptography. Invited Speakers are:– Sofía Celi\, Brave Research & University of Bristol\,– Orr Dunkelmann\, Computer Science Department of University of Haifa\, In addition\, there will be tutorials and hands-on exercises on topics somewhat related to the lectures. Target group The intended audience are undergraduate and graduate students as well as postdocs and researchers who work in the area or at least have a basic knowledge. Fee info 220 EUR\, student 900 EUR\, non-student A discount for members of the GI (https://gi.de/) is available. Registration The registration is open 1 May 2026 9:00 – 29 June 2026 12:00 (UTC+2). The registration will be done via the webpage of the FG KRYPTO: The number of places is restricted\, the registration fee for students and related is 200€ for members of the GI and 220€ for non-members\, for non-academic particpants the fee is 800€ for GI members and 900€ for non-members.  Please register in the correct slot: Student or PhD student or academic\, member of the GI.Student or PhD student or academic\, non-member.General\, member of the GI.General\, non-member.If you intend to apply for a stipend\, register here on the respective waiting list and apply for a stipend.  DO NOT pay until the decision about the stipend is made.
